METHODTanmaya's choice of media and materials are shaped by her personal health needs. She has progressed from using more toxic mediums like oil paints, both standard and water-based, to less toxic mediums such as colored pencil and watercolor.
Her application of pigment is refined, giving the surface of her work a highly finished look or one of small dots created through pointillism. This technique is accentuated by her rich pallet colors and heightened contrast between dark and light tones.
Tanmaya's works range in size from small intimate pieces that hang on the wall to large installations. Whether her works are small or large, they are consistently powerful and intriguing.
